How do I choose a plan…?

This is much like asking "What car should I buy". It is a different decision for everyone. The basic personal plan is designed to let you post a personal home page or hobby site to the internet in a very inexpensive way. It is not set up to effectively support business options such as a storefront. The family plan differs the same thing but for three domains. Dad could have a site to promote his woodworking hobby - Mom a site to organize her local quilting club and the kids run a "who's who" entertainment gossip site - all for a single, low price. The other plans are essentially business type plans which differ in the number of domains and amount of traffic they include. If you are a web developer, one of the power plans would suit you well and allow you to host many of your customers accounts at a very reasonable cost to you. In the end, if you aren't sure, e-mail us and we'll be glad to offer guidance.

How do I pay for my hosting…?

At this time, you can pay either by check / money order, or with your credit card through PayPal. We are using this method because we have yet to find anything else as secure. Only PayPal gets your credit card information. We never see it. You only have to trust one company with your information and you can shop online here, at eBay and at thousands of on-line stores. We will soon be offering direct credit card options as well.

What is the incentive to pay six months or a year in advance…?

The first advantage is not having to deal with it every month, especially if you are paying by check. The next incentive is the waiving of the one time setup fee. Lastly, there are discount incentives. You save 8% by paying for six months and 15% by paying for a full year in advance.

What support do you offer…?

We are a web hosting service. We are glad to help you with hosting related issues such as how to use your control panel and how to configure your account. We can also assist you with registering and maintaining your domain name. With some accounts we include applications that we do not charge for such as site builder and OS Commerce storefront. We are not experts in these applications so our ability to support them is minimal. We are not web designers. If you need help designing a site or using html, our ability to help is also limited. As a starting point, we recommend either the included Site Builder or, if you own Microsoft Office, MS Word includes a very nice web site wizard. (which was used to design this site.)

I signed up but can't get to my control panel yet …?

All registrations are moderated. Before it is complete, payment must be verified and the registration approved. A word of explanation is in order. We aren't screening you so much as protecting ourselves. There are, for instance, people who would sign up for one month, send 30 million spam emails (very expensive) and then disappear forever. There are ways of identifying those users so we manually approve accounts. Checks may take a while to clear but if you paid with PayPal, we can have you up and running within 24 hours

I uploaded my site to the server but it isn't showing up on line …?

Once you set up your domain on the server, it takes 24 - 72 hours for servers around the world to update their DNS list.
